The Magnitude of Morning Mantras
By Lauren Jones
Speaking mantras into the universe is an effective way to boost your mindset and future, even if you don't believe in manifestations. If you say mantras enough, you will start to believe them and see them unfold in your daily life. I have a strategy for morning mantras that could help you achieve more positivity.
I find that the best time to recite mantras is in the morning shortly after you wake up. Instead of picking up your phone and obsessively digesting information, you could proactively start the day off on a positive note. To begin, list some things that you are most thankful for. This list can range from friends and family to simple things like the sun, good music, or a good cup of coffee.
Then say aloud what you are working towards doing, being, and becoming. These could be goals surrounding your professional or scholastic career, family or social life, or simply bettering yourself mind, body, and soul. Then list your intentions for the day; state things you may be worried about, and how you want them to be resolved. I believe it is important to express this and ask the universe for some guidance to clear your mind and take some of the weight off your shoulders.
The last part of this morning ritual is where the mantras really come into play. I like to articulate the type of person I am and the good things that are coming my way. This can sound like: “I am a good person with good intentions and I deserve good things;” “Serendipity and good karma will find me;” “Things always work out in the end;” “Good things take time;” “I don’t chase, I attract;” and “I am a force to be reckoned with.”
To conclude a mantra session, state and try to believe that you will have a good day. It is easy to let one mishap classify a day as “bad;” however, you have the power to not allow one unpleasant moment to define your entire day.
You may feel awkward or uncomfortable saying these mantras at first, but if you remain consistent it will become more natural and normal. As a result, both your head and heart will begin to truly believe these words, and, hopefully, you will see everything come to fruition.
