50 Ways to Say I Love You
By Ashley Mulhare
Why don’t we tell the people we love how much they mean to us more often? Why do we assume that they already know or have been told how much they matter already? These assumptions lead to thoughts of hopelessness and loneliness in all who struggle; it is a problem stretching worldwide. I understand that it is not always easy to tell people that we love them, but there are so many little ways to show how much we care. In honor of National Suicide Prevention month, here are 50 way to say “I love you.” Show your love loud and show it often:
This song made me think of you.
Did you eat today?
Put your seatbelt on.
Make sure you’re drinking water, it’s hot out.
I started the car to warm it up for you.
I left dinner ready for you, it’s on the stove.
I couldn’t sleep until I knew you were home safe.
Did you take your medicine?
I'm proud of you.
I was thinking about you today.
I’m going to the store, can I get you anything?
Here, put my jacket on, you’re freezing.
I brought you coffee.
Text me when you get there.
I need your advice.
How are things at home?
You pick where we eat.
I left the lights on.
Take your time, I’ll wait.
What did you do today?
Get home safe.
Anything I can help you with?
I’m here if you want to talk.
I have so much to tell you!
I made you a playlist.
This would look so good on you!
Let’s go together.
Good luck on your test tomorrow, you’re gonna kill it!
You look amazing.
How’d you sleep?
Are you there yet?
You can have the last bite.
Can’t wait to see you!
I brought you food.
Let me walk you back.
I’m sorry.
Can I help you carry that?
Just checking in, how is everything?
I don’t want you to go alone, I’ll come with you.
I miss you.
Let me get the door for you.
You can keep it, I never wear it.
I’ll go if you do.
I saved you a seat.
Don’t walk, I can pick you up.
I enjoy spending time with you.
I made you this.
Let’s hang out soon.
I’m thankful to have you.
It’s on me.
I love you (a classic).
