Simple Makeup Products to Transform Your Morning Routine

Simple Makeup Products to Transform Your Morning Routine

By Isabella Scala

In college, it’s easy to be so busy that you barely have time to get enough sleep, much less put on a full face of makeup every day for classes. Here are some makeup brands that offer simple solutions to your complicated morning routine that will keep your skin fresh, your cheeks flushed, and your lips moisturized.

GLOSSIER

Glossier has been getting a lot of media attention recently, and for good reason! Glossier is a makeup and skincare brand that sells simple products that can be used in a variety of different ways to enhance your natural beauty. A couple of my favorite products are listed below:

  • The Solution Skin Perfector: This product is a toner, exfoliator, and a brightening skin treatment all in one. Simply apply to the skin with a cotton pad after removing your makeup for a reduction in blemishes, a more even skin tone, and a healthy glow.

  • Cloud Paint Blush: This natural, sheer blush comes in a variety of shades to suit your skin tone and can be applied with your fingers to the apples of your cheeks for a healthy-looking flush.

  • Lip Gloss: This lip gloss is a clear, flattering sheen that can be applied on top of lipstick or alone for clear, non-sticky shine.

MILK MAKEUP

Milk Makeup has also been widely talked about in the beauty world for its wide variety of products, innovative skincare, and claim that every one of their products can be applied using the fingers.

  • Lip + Cheek Stick: Can be used as both a blush and a lipstick, this versatile stick can simply be blended out with your fingers.

  • Holographic stick: This illuminating highlighter can be put on in stick form and blended out with your fingers for a buildable glow.

  • Blur Stick: this stick can be used as both a primer and a foundation if you’re on the go! Blurs imperfections and creates a flawless finish that can either be worn alone or under makeup.

MAKE BEAUTY

Make Beauty is a smaller makeup brand that also provides simple, on-the-go makeup for everyday life. Make Beauty also tries to support small businesses by donating 10% of their sales to the We See Beauty Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports women-led, worker-owned businesses for communities in need.

  • Face Gloss: This is a clear, skin-enhancing product that can improve the look of skin either on top of makeup or by itself! It moisturizes and balances skin while acting as a natural highlighter.

  • Dew Pot: This natural looking blush contains Vitamins C & E to help prevent against environmental damage while also moisturizing skin. Can be used on lips, cheeks, or eyes!

  • Tinted Marine Salve: A tinted lip balm that contains algae and other ingredients that calm skin and protect against pollution.

TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL

Too Cool For School is a Korean based beauty brand that has fun and innovative products. Korean beauty brands have been all the rage recently with their cute packaging and different products!

  • Pumpkin 24K Gold Mask: This one-use sheet mask contains pumpkin extracts and 24K gold for smooth, radiant skin. This can also be purchased as a set with the Pumpkin Sleeping Pack, an overnight face mask that moisturizes and soothes skin.

  • Aqua Gel Mist: This mist can either be used as a setting spray or just a moisturizer. It creates a gel-like coat over the skin that locks in moisture and prevents damage while repairing skin cells and replenishing the skin.

  • Dinoplatz Cushy Blusher: This natural looking blush comes in an adorable tube with a puff applicator for a no-makeup makeup look.

These are just a few of the new and trending makeup brands that are promoting enhanced natural beauty and on-the-go looks. These few products can transform your morning hassle into a simple, beautiful routine. Enjoy!
